The aim of the World Lithuanian Economic Forum is to involve Lithuanian businessmen and experts in economics living abroad into economic life of Lithuania, as well as strengthens their emotional ties with Lithuania and to demonstrate opportunities of developing business and attracting foreign investment to Lithuania.

Businessmen, experts in economics and innovations of Lithuanian origin will attend the World Lithuanian Economic Forum. Representatives from the most important business sectors and governmental institutions of Lithuania will  meet with the World Lithuanians.

Debates and round table discussions will be organized at the event, where Lithuanian  businessmen and experts in economics living abroad will consult and share their experience regarding strategic questions for the Lithuanian economy with representatives from the most important Lithuanian business sectors. Furthermore the guests and participants of The World Lithuanian Economic Forum will find out about the latest  investment and trade opportunities in Lithuania.

Emigration is often referred to in a negative context in the public discussions in Lithuania with a sharp focus on  the “brain drain” issue. So far, the majority of the governmental projects have been directed against emigration. The organizers of the PLEF believe that hardly enough attention is being paid to the proffessionals and businessmen of Lithuanian origin living abroad. Focus on their identification, relationship creation and support is missing.

Lithuanian businessmen and experts in economics living abroad could become partners with business people, who successfully develop their business in Lithuania, furthermore, develop business connections, consult Lithuanian businessmen and vice versa.

The World Lithuanian Economic Forum aims to invite   business and economic representatives living in Lithuania to meet those coming from abroad.  It could engage Lithuanian businessmen who are interested in expanding business abroad and help them acquire successfully operating foreign companies’ experience and so forth.

Lithuanian business society will  attend in debates and bilateral meetings with Lithuanian businessmen and experts in economics living abroad. During the B2B meetings  participants will  exhange useful contacts in their fields of interest, initiate new business ideas and discover partnership opportunities.
